Each month the Department of Social Issues Strategic Analysis Centre offers a selection of information, innovation and experimentation from elsewhere.

It does not pretend to cover the news so exhaustice international social or contibuer to implement them in the context hexagonal. It consists of subjective choices deliberately made by official representatives of the department as part of their research and their meetings. These raise the membership like this, caution or rejection, their vocation is to help lead the debate on the future of social models.

Animal welfare

The law on animal protection, enacted in 2008, established the fact that animals known as "sociable," such as hamsters, guinea pigs or parakeets, must live together. Disputed cases are mostly dealt with the acquisition by the owner of a second animal to keep company at first. However, when this is not the case, the fine incurred by the owner is up to 10,000 francs (note that the 850 fines imposed last year, the highest was 1,000 francs). According to authorities, this rule leads to perverse effects, with the increase in cases of denunciations, the law does not provide for regular checks for owners of pets. But these complaints are not usually the result of people not interested in the well-being of the animal isolated, but people who have a dispute with their neighbor.
