4) SNCF has presented a project on the development of an eco-calculator, which will allow each person making a move automatically measure your CO2 emissions on a given route, regardless of mode of transport.
The application installed on a "smartphone" new generation will automatically detect the mode of transportation: train, tram, bus, car, walking ... and calculate CO2 emissions, depending on the distance traveled and any changes in fashion.
It project is in partnership with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) who develops a geolocation solution combined with an algorithm that allows the system to automatically identify the mode of transport in which the traveler is. Then calculations are performed using data from official average CO2 emissions by type of transport.
SNCF plans to offer this application "CO2GO" late 2011 to its customers, combined with additional features: proposed routes and transport modes associated alternative cleaner, practical information about businesses, utilities, parking, tourism ...

5) As part of the "Connected Urban Development" ( http://www.connectedurbandevelopment.org/ ), Cisco, American company, plans to install telecentres around cities, but also in the stations because of their strategic location in the heart of intermodality.
These TV's centers will serve to share workspaces, meeting rooms but also to organize teleconferences.
